Audrain Medical Center Announces New Orthopedic Surgeon Joining Practice

Audrain Medical Center announced Monday that Dr. James Kottler, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement, will join the medical staff beginning August 1.

Hospital CEO Linda Garrett said the addition ends a two-year gap in local orthopedic care that had forced many patients to travel to Columbia or Hannibal for consultations.

Dr. Kottler comes from a practice in Kirksville and is board-certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
