Mexico School Board Approves $2.3 Million HVAC Upgrade for Lakeview Elementary

The Mexico R-59 Board of Education voted 5-2 Monday night to approve a contract with Mommens Heating and Cooling for a full HVAC replacement at Lakeview Elementary School.

Superintendent Dr. Karen Whitfield said the aging system has needed major repairs every winter for the past three years. Work is scheduled to begin in late July and should be complete before the start of the 2026-27 school year.
